There was, like, zero sun in January and it was rough going. Normally, I do a lot worse than I did this year because the Lord of busy blessing my socks off and keeping my mind elsewhere.
I got so much audio work these past few months I’ve been able to pay for bookish things that I’ve been needing/wanting to above and beyond what I had planned. We got to purchase a new fridge that I’ve been hoping for since we moved into our house - it’s huge and things don’t randomly fall out at me when I open it!
And we were able to buy me a new Mac (due to an unexpected gift) that has the capabilities that allow me to work on projects I otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
The sun has shone every day this month (February) so far! And yesterday felt so much like spring!
Writing/Books:
My old Mac was too old to support any of the fancy programs for formatting ebooks, so I took a little time and taught myself how to format them without those programs (which I can now get with my new Mac if I so wish) and converted Quest for the Swords of Healing into ebook form. (I used to outsource this part of production and now I don’t have to!) The ebook is available on Amazon here. Finishing the editing for the audio version (full cast) is next for this book!
I got back Big 16’s cover from the artist this past month and ordered 17’s. I got back Heirs of Ever After book 6’s cover and ordered the next two. I got the first cover for my fantasy cozy mystery series back and ordered the next two as well. Here’s a peak at the background of book 1’s cover that I shared on my social media. Doesn’t this guy look great!? Super excited for this series and hoping I can sneak this first book into my goals for the year.
I’m still working on my final draft for The Nameless and I’m on track to get it to the editor mid-March. Yay!
There’s also a pretty cool writing/partnership idea that I’m starting to pursue. We shall see where it goes.
Podcast:
Still planning to get the rest of Season 3 written after The Nameless goes off to the editor and have recording in the summer. Find Seasons 1 & 2 here or anywhere you listen to podcasts, just search Tales of Ezmeer.
Voiceover:
I recorded for Power Pup #3 this past month as well as produced 5 devotional booklets for Alisa Hope Wagner, which are all available on Audible. (Not PP3, but the booklets.)
I’ve begun narrating a new fantasy story as well.
I also just got back the first chapter of a dramatized fan fiction Marvel audiobook I voiced a character for 3 years ago - I play one of the main characters, a new superhero. The chapters will eventually be uploaded to YouTube and the Prologue is currently available.
Bean’s Picture:
Beans stayed warm this past January, even if it meant she slept with the laundry, haha! We hope your February is warm and sunny!
Hey Trista. I'm excited to hear about your podcast series Tales of Ezmeer. I will check it out.
